Nominee for Energy Secretary
Bullish on Solar and Wind
President-elect Barack Obama's nominee for energy secretary, Steven Chu (1997 Nobel prize winner for physics), boasts a strong record of solar, wind and cellulosic ethanol support (fuel from corn cobs & grasses, not corn and soy beans).
Obama has also named Carol Browner (head of the EPA under President Clinton), as White House coordinator of energy and climate (Energy Czar).
Energy research firm Tudor Pickering Holt’s statement prior to the announcements, noted: "It's a strong duo ... a big-brained research guy with a Washington insider," Tudor Pickering Holt said in a note to clients that included this advice: "Buckle up, energy guys ... [for] carbon legislation."

Noting such, HFC Equity Research Group points investors to GWS Technologies, Inc. (GreenWindSolar.com), as an aggressive growth idea in the alternative energy sector of microcap stocks.
